Carlos M. García is Senior Director, Marketing for HCSC or better known as Blue Cross and Blue Shield of IL. Carlos leads a team that delivers on the BCBS brand and customer promise. His inquisitiveness, passion for strategic thought and positive approach have led him to various career paths, industires and unique projects, both professional and personal. In addition to serving as a Honeycomb board member, he is also on the Advisory Board of Camp One Step (camponestep.org) and Public Allies Chicago (publicallies.org). Raised by parents that immigrated from Cuba, Carlos witnessed the power in communities joining together to enrich the lives of others. By watching his mother serve disadvantaged youth for over 40 years as a teacher in Chicago, he found his passion for community service. Now, as a family, they are all Honeycomb volunteers. Carlos earned a Bachelors Degree in Marketing from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from DePaul University. He currently resides in Chicago with his amazing, supportive wife and their two young children/Honeycombers.
