63rd Street Beach
May, 2013 Volunteers joined us at 63rd Street Beach to test the water quality of Lake Michigan, measure beach health and remove trash from our shoreline. We also helped rebuild the boardwalk to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.

May, 2013 Families joined us for a beautiful spring day at Indian Road Woods. We rebuilt a nature trail along the Chicago River to prevent erosion and protect native species. We watched a deer walk our trail and found a snake that was thought by some to resemble a boa.

April, 2013 Families joined us at Lakeview Pantry to pack 140 bags of groceries. We included flowers with our deliveries to seniors in Uptown.

March, 2013 More than 20 volunteers joined us to scramble eggs, cook bacon, chop fruit and make waffles for 30 guests at Lincoln Park Community Shelter. We set the tables, make flower arrangements and enjoy our meal together.
