Make Sleeping Mats

June, 2013

Did you know that the EPA estimates that somewhere between 500 billion and a trillion plastic bags are consumed worldwide each year? Honeycomb partnered with New Life for Old Bags to re-purpose thousands of bags to make sleeping mats for the homeless. The mats are waterproof and improve comfort for those in the most critical circumstances. Cornerstone Community Outreach distributes the emergency mats to those who are unable to go to a shelter.
