Volunteer Spotlight

Williams Family

This month, our volunteer spotlight shines on one of our most dedicated Honeycomb families – meet the Williams!

Over the past year, Nicole and Tony have volunteered at a variety of projects with their worker bees Gray (10) and Rain (9). Nicole also volunteers with us as a Project Leader and serves on our Fall Fundraiser Committee too.

When the Williams’ first started looking for opportunities to make a difference together, they could count on one hand the number of opportunities available to them. Nicole describes finding out about Honeycomb as “a blessing.” They’ve especially loved joining us for our cooking and crafting projects area really enjoy when everyone in their family works together. Their favorite event they’ve attended so far is creating a quilt for pediatric patients with our partners Sew Crafty Studio and Sewwonderful Quilts.

Nicole told us when we asked her what keeps them coming back to Honeycomb events that “Honeycomb provides fabulous opportunities to get involved with service projects, to learn about issues facing our community, and spend time together as a family.”In addition to being amazing volunteers, the Williams’ are involved with a whole host of exciting activities: Tony is an independent filmmaker, Nicole is an attorney and a self-described “undercover creative”, Rain loves to sew and bake, and Gray loves video games (especially Pokemon). We’re so happy they spend some of their creative energy helping us here at Honeycomb!
